Vika is a walking version of the Trip Advisor website! She is the Lonely Planet series and the Eyewitness Guides rolled into a pleasant, knowledgeable, and fun-loving package. She has organized many trips for me and my husband and we have always been delighted with them. In South America we had incredibly diverse experiences—we danced the tango in Buenos Aires, Argentina and saw wild penguins in Chile. We have visited south-east Asia twice over the past three years—first Thailand and then Vietnam—and both times, thanks to Vika, we received an introduction to these exotic and enticing lands that we shall never forget. We had so many new experiences we felt dizzy! We ate incredible foods and rode an elephant. We rode scooters and saw communist architecture. Honestly, I would visit any of these places again at a second’s notice, and it was Vika’s input that made our experiences there so memorable. Normally, I am a very organized traveler who gets ready for the trip long before its start – I buy tons of books and maps, browse the Web methodically in search of sights that I must visit as well as shows and concerts to attend. On the night before the trip I am armed with numerous lists, schedules etc.

But this year my work schedule has been incredibly hectic and did not allow me to plan my trip to Canada – all I had were the tickets to Toronto and a car reservation. No ideas, no itineraries, no event tickets… And I was leaving in a few days.

Knowing that my friend Vika is an avid traveler, I wrote to her asking for any suggestions she might have. I knew I did not have to wait for too long and sure enough, a very detailed email came back. Needless to say – I did not have time to read it so I printed it out and stuffed into my carry-on along with the tour book. Ask me if I opened the tour book ever since I read the printout on the plane! One paragraph of Vika’s hints and ideas was enough to fill 10 days/5 cities trip for the family of 3 – there was everything from must - see landmarks, to exciting and off the beaten path attractions, as well as food and shopping suggestions. My family and I were very happy that we entrusted our vacation to Vika!
